Welcome to the ACS House

June 16, 2026

Are you familiar with the ACS House? Foothills Gateway’s Adult Care Services (ACS) program provides short term relief from daily caregiving responsibilities in a home-like setting for individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities (IDD), 18 years of age and older, and residing in Larimer County. The ACS House provides 24/7 respite services and can serve as a Back Up Residential Service (BURS) for individuals living in host homes or with family caregivers.

Two-story beige brick house with large windows, a front porch, and raised flower beds along the walkway. The yard has grass and some small plants, and the sky is overcast with gray clouds.

The ACS House is one of only a couple services of its kind in Colorado. The property is fully maintained and staffed by Foothills Gateway through Mill Levy funding and owned by the City of Fort Collins.

The ACS team provides fun and meaningful activities, both on site and in the community, as well as care and support based on the individual’s interests, abilities, and specific care requirements. This program can host 8 individuals at a time for day-time care and 3 individuals at a time for overnight stays while fully staffed.

Thank you to Cynthia H. for the tour and to the ACS team for making this program possible and providing high-level, person-centered services to IDD individuals in our community!
