Children with Life-Limiting Illness Waiver (CLLI)

Ages Birth through 18

Allows children (under 19) with a life-limiting illness who can be safely cared for at home, to be eligible for Health First Colorado benefits.  This waiver also allows the members’ family to seek curative treatment while the child is receiving palliative or hospice care.

 

 

Qualifying for CLLI Medicaid Waiver services

  • Must be 18 years old or younger
  • Child receiving services must be safely cared for in the family home, but are at risk of institutionalization in a hospital
  • Have a life-limiting illness as certified by a physician
  • Have a disability as defined by the Social Security Administration (SSA)
  • Meet financial determination requirements as outlined in the Colorado Code of Regulations and as determined by your local Department of Human Services (DHS)

Respite
Massage Therapy
Palliative/Supportive Care (Care Coordination; Pain & Symptom Management)
Therapeutic Services (Bereavement Counseling; Therapeutic Life-Limiting Illness Support-Individual/Family/Group)
