Complementary and Integrative Health Waiver (CIH)

Ages 18 and older

Allows adults (18 and older) who are living with a spinal cord injury, multiple sclerosis, spina bifida, muscular dystrophy, cerebral palsy, or a brain injury and the inability for independent ambulation to receive home or community-based supports. (Formerly known as SCI Waiver)

  • Must be 18 years old or older
  • Have a qualifying condition of a spinal cord injury (traumatic or nontraumatic), multiple sclerosis, brain injury, spina bifida, muscular dystrophy, or cerebral palsy
  • Have been determined to have an inability for independent ambulation resulting from the qualifying condition as identified by the case manager through the assessment process.
  • Require long-term services or supports similar to what is provided in a nursing facility or hospital
  • Meet financial determination eligibility requirements
