Children’s Habilitation Residential Program Waiver (CHRP)

Ages Birth through 20

Allows children and youth (under 21) with an intellectual or developmental disability and extraordinary needs that put them at risk for out-of-home placement to be eligible for Health First Colorado benefits and services.

 

 

Qualifying for CHRP Medicaid Waiver services

  • Must be 20 years old or younger
  • Have intensive behavioral or medical needs that put the child at risk of out-of-home placement
  • Meet the Intermediate Care Facility for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities definition
  • Have been determined to have an intellectual or developmental disability
