Home Care Allowance (HCA)

Ages 5 and older

Provides financial assistance to individuals (ages 5 and older) with a disability to pay a home care provider to provide services that allow the person to remain in their home.

  • Must be 5 years old or older
  • Have been assessed and determined ineligible for HCBS-Medicaid services
  • Meet targeted criteria for eligibility in both areas of financial need and functional capacity
  • Services provided through HCA allow person to remain in their home
