Foothills Gateway, Inc.
(FGI) is a non-profit organization that functions to
efficiently coordinate and provide services for Larimer County citizens with
cognitive
disabilities and their families. Established in 1972 to provide
a community-based alternative
to institutional care, Foothills Gateway has been
designated by the State of Colorado as the
community centered board, or single
entry point, for these services in Larimer County.
Services and supports are provided through a variety of programs aimed at addressing the employment, housing and social needs for eligible individuals and their families. Funding for services and support comes from federal, state, county and private funds.
Mission:
The mission of Foothills Gateway, Inc. is to empower and
support citizens
with cognitive disabilities, their families, and other
populations, as appropriate, to achieve
their maximum potential and
independence.
Guiding principles for FGI are:
