A Remarkable Colorado Gives Day to Wrap Up our 50th Year!

December 13, 2022

Colorado Gives Day is a statewide giving movement designed to increase support for nonprofits across the Rocky Mountains. Since it was created in 2010, it has grown to be the largest 24-hour giving event in the state! This year, Colorado Gives Day was held on December 6th and raised over $53 million for 3,000+ nonprofit organizations across Colorado.

Foothills Gateway’s Community Relations Team was at the Human Bean celebrating this year’s Gives Day as guest baristas. We were there to spread the word on the wonderful work Foothills Gateway (FGI) does in northern Colorado. The baristas and the community welcomed us with open arms. Later this month, the Human Bean will be coming into FGI to drop off a check with all the donations, and 10% of their sales, received that day. Thank you to the Human Bean for having us!

Foothills Gateway set a goal this year, hoping to raise a total of $20,000. We had 83 donors and ended up raising over $17,000. Although, we didn’t reach our initial goal, the overwhelming love and support we received during our 50th year has been incredible – from the Game Show to the Flying Pig – our community has really come together to show their appreciation for our organization. Thanks to each of you!

Happy Holidays! Foothills Gateway wishes everyone good health and happiness going into the New Year.
